7 days - 6 nights

Day 1
After breakfast, set off toward the Londorosi Gate at West Kilimanjaro. While your guide handles the climbing permits, savor a fresh coffee or tea and soak in the excitement. Then continue along a rugged 4x4 track to the remote starting point of the Lemosho Route. After a light lunch, begin your trek into the dense rainforest, alive with vibrant flora and the calls of exotic wildlife. After 3–4 hours of walking, reach your first camp, tucked among the trees.

Day 2
Fuel up with breakfast before leaving the forest behind and climbing into open moorland. Today’s trek is a little longer, lasting around 7–8 hours, as you pass through stunning highland scenery across the Shira Plateau. Pause for a scenic picnic lunch before continuing towards Shira Camp 2, where you’ll be treated to a dazzling sunset behind Kilimanjaro’s towering glaciers.

Day 3
Today is an important acclimatization day. Trek steadily through the rocky Alpine desert towards the striking Lava Tower at 4,630 meters. Spend time at high altitude to help your body adjust before descending into the lush valley of Baranco Camp. The combination of climbing high and sleeping low significantly improves your summit chances.

Day 4
After a good night’s rest, face the Baranco Wall—an exciting scramble that’s easier than it looks, rewarded by stunning vistas across the mountain. Upon reaching Karanga Camp, enjoy a hot lunch followed by a relaxing afternoon or take a short acclimatization walk for those with energy to spare.

Day 5
Today’s journey takes you around the southern face of Kilimanjaro, crossing the starkly beautiful Alpine desert. After 3–4 hours of trekking, arrive at Barafu Camp. Spend the afternoon resting, hydrating, and preparing both mentally and physically for your midnight summit attempt.

Day 6
Summit Day! Begin in the dark, guided by stars and determination. Push onward to Uhuru Peak (5,895 meters) just in time for sunrise—a moment that will stay with you forever. After celebrating at the roof of Africa, descend to Horombo Hut for a well-earned night’s rest.

Day 7
On your final day, stroll down through the forest, where lush greenery and lively birdlife welcome you back. Upon reaching Mweka Gate, celebrate your success with a festive champagne brunch hosted by Genes Adventures. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel for a well-deserved shower, rest, and time to relive your incredible journey.
